Registration

Emil Markaryan was born in Baku on the 12th of December, 1979 and  relocated to Armenia in 1988. Studied at the State Engineering University of Armenia.

Emil Markaryan is considered as one of the best coaches of the Academy. 

Education

1996 graduated from Ashtarak N2 secondary school

From 1996 - 2002 – studied at the State Engineering University of Armenia. Awarded a master's degree

  • From 2002 to 2005 took postgraduate studies at the Nas Institute of Chemical Physics  of  the Republic Of Armenia 
  • 2005 received a PhD in Chemical Sciences.( Candidate of Chemistry)

Achievements 

  • Multiple Champion and prize-winner of Ashtarak and Aragatsotn regions.

Working experience

  • From 2002 - 2010 worked in scientific and production activities in the chemical field
  • From 2011 – to present works as a chess teacher at the N4 basic school after Gr. Ghapantsyan 
  • From 2011 - to present works in Ashtarak region as a coach
  • From 2014 to present works as a coach of the Ashtarak branch of the Chess Academy
  • From 2020 to present works as a coach of the Chess Academy of Armenia

Coaching results

  • From 2011 - 2021 about 30 students acquired the 1st category levels, more than 100 students acquired from the 4th - 2nd category levels

During different years Emil Markaryan had participants and award winners in the finals of several age categories of the Armenian Junior Girls Championships, including:

  • During the period from 2011 to 2025, more than 200 students achieved official sports ranks, including over 45 First-Class players.​
  • In 2013, Arsen Davtyan placed 1st–2nd in the Armenian Under-8 Boys Championship.
  • In 2013, Arsen Davtyan became the European Cup winner in the Under-8 age group.
  • In 2014, Zhora Ispiryan became the champion of Aragatsotn Province.
  • In 2014, Gor Avetisyan placed 3rd in the Aragatsotn Provincial Championship.
  • In 2015, Arsen Galstyan participated in the final stage of the Armenian Under-10 Championship.
  • In 2015, Zhora Ispiryan placed 2nd–4th in the A. Margaryan Memorial Tournament (Under-18).
  • In 2015, Zhora Ispiryan became the runner-up of the Armenian Under-16 Championship.
  • In 2015, Zhora Ispiryan participated in the European Under-16 Championship.
  • In 2015, Zhora Ispiryan became the runner-up of the French Under-16 Boys Championship.
  • In 2016, Aneta Askaryan placed 4th in the Armenian Girls Under-10 Championship.
  • In 2016, Aneta Askaryan participated in the World Under-10 Championship.
  • In 2016, Asya Yedigaryan participated in the World Under-12 Championship.
  • In 2017, Parpi Secondary School placed 2nd–3rd in the 11th National School Olympiad of Armenia.
  • In 2017, Aneta Askaryan participated in the final stage of the Armenian Girls Under-12 Championship.
  • In 2017, Asya Yedigaryan participated in the final stage of the Armenian Under-14 Championship.
  • In 2018, Asya Yedigaryan became the champion of the Armenian Girls Under-14 Championship.
  • In 2018, Asya Yedigaryan participated in the World Under-14 Championship.
  • In 2018, Asya Yedigaryan became the champion of the A. Margaryan Memorial Tournament for Girls Under 14.
  • In 2018, Vrej Aleksanyan participated in the final stage of the Armenian Under-16 Championship.
  • In 2018, Aneta Askaryan participated in the final stage of the Armenian Girls Under-12 Championship.
  • In 2019, Aneta Askaryan became the runner-up of the Armenian Girls Under-14 Championship.
  • In 2020, Gr. Ghapantsyan School No. 4 of Ashtarak placed 2nd in the 14th National School Olympiad of Armenia.
  • In 2023, Albert Babayan participated in the final stage of the Armenian Under-10 Championship.
  • In 2023, Davit M. Davtyan participated in the final stage of the Armenian Under-14 Championship.
  • In 2023, Angelina Asatryan participated in the final stage of the Armenian Girls Under-10 Championship.
  • In 2024, Samvel Movsisyan became the runner-up of the Armenian Under-8 Championship.
  • In 2024, Samvel Movsisyan participated in the European and World Championships in the Under-8 age group.
  • In 2024, Albert Babayan participated in the final stage of the Armenian Under-10 Championship.
  • In 2024, Hamlet Harutyunyan participated in the final stage of the Armenian Under-10 Championship.
  • In 2024, Asya Mkrtchyan participated in the final stage of the Armenian Girls Under-10 Championship.
  • In 2025, Hamlet Harutyunyan placed 5th in the final stage of the Armenian Under-10 Championship.
  • In 2025, Vimla Maheshwari participated in the final stage of the Armenian Girls Under-10 Championship.
  • In 2025, Davit S. Mkrtchyan placed 5th–6th in the final stage of the Armenian Under-8 Championship.
  • In 2025, Samvel Movsisyan placed 3rd in the 15th A. Margaryan Memorial Tournament (Under-10).
  • In 2025, Samvel Movsisyan became the champion of the Under-10 category at the 4th Youth and Junior Festival of the Tigran Petrosian Chess House.
  • In 2025, Davit S. Mkrtchyan placed 3rd in the Under-8 category of the same festival.
  • In 2025, Arpi Khachatryan placed 4th in the Girls Under-8 category of the same festival.
