Tigran  Azaryan was born on March 31, 1995, in the town of Hrazdan, Kotayk region. Studied at the Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports.

Tigran Azaryan is considered one of the best coaches of the Chess Academy of Armenia.

  • 2005 Took the 2nd place in Kotayk region, Youth Chess Championship / up to 12 years old
  • 2006 Took the 1st place in the Kotayk region, youth championship competitions / up to 12 years old

  • 2008 Took the 1st place in the regional round of the Republican Schoolchildren “Chess Olympiad" of the Republic of Armenia

  • 2010 Took the 1st place in the rapid chess competitions of the “Shushi” city sports festival held in the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh

  • 2011 Took the first place in the open chess championship in Abovyan/under-16years old

  • 2022 – At the Armenian Boys and Girls Championship's Final, Sevak Apikyan became U8 Champion, Avetik Arzumanyan became U10 Runner-up, Mane Hakobyan became U10 Girls Runner-up.
  • 2022 – At the Tigran Petrosian Chess School Championship, Tigran Hambardzumyan became a bronze medalist.
  • 2022 – At the Stepan Avagyan Youth Tournament, Movses Militonyan became a bronze medalist in the U10 Boys group.
  • 2023 –  At the Armenian Boys and Girls Championship's Final, Mane Hakobyan became U10 Girls Champion, Tigran Hambardzumyan became U12 bronze medalist.
  • 2023 – At the Stepan Avagyan Youth Tournament, Mane Hakobyan became U10 Girls Champion.
  • 2023 – At the SERBIA CHESS OPEN 2023 International Summer Festival, Movses Militonyan became Runner-up.
  • 2023 – At the Tigran Petrosian Chess House Youth Final Tournament, Gor Morikyan became U10 Champion.
  • 2023 – At the Tigran Petrosian Chess Festival, Movses Militonyan became U10 Champion.
  • 2023 – Tigran Hambardzumyan became bronze medalist of the World U12 Youth Rapid Chess Championship.
  • 2023 – At the Nana Aleksandria Cup 2023 International Tournament, Tigran Hambardzumyan became Group B bronze medalist, and Aren Mnatsakanyan became Group B Champion (under 1850 rating).
  • 2024 – At the European Youth Championship, Tigran Hambardzumyan became U12 Runner-up.
  • 2024 – At the 3rd International Youth Festival of the Tigran Petrosian Chess School, Gevorg Aghoyan took 3rd place in the U10 Boys group, Ashot Santrosyan took 3rd place in the U14 Boys group.
  • 2024 – At the 14th Andranik Margaryan Youth Memorial Tournament, Aren Mnatsakanyan became U12 Boys Champion, Vahan Tovmasyan became U10 Boys Runner-up, Robert Pashikyan became U8 Boys Runner-up, Mane Arstamyan became U10 Girls Champion, Mari Ohanyan became Runner-up.
  • 2025 – At the Stepan Avagyan Youth Memorial Tournament, Movses Militonyan became U12 Boys Champion, Gor Morikyan became Runner-up, Artur Bazikyan became U14 Boys Champion, and Mane Hakobyan became U12 Girls Champion.
  • 2025 – At the 4th International Youth Festival of the Tigran Petrosian Chess School, Gevorg Geghamyan became U8 Boys Champion, Vahe Vardanyan became U10 Boys bronze medalist, Lilit Hakobyan became U12 Girls bronze medalist, Vahan Tovmasyan became U12 Boys silver medalist, and Gor Morikyan became bronze medalist.
  • 2025 – At the 15th Andranik Margaryan Youth Memorial, Artur Bazikyan became U12 Boys Champion, Vahan Tovmasyan became Runner-up, Gor Dabaghyan became bronze medalist, Gevorg Aghoyan became U10 Boys Runner-up, and Mane Hakobyan and Mari Ohanyan became U12 Girls Champion and Runner-up.
  • 2025 – At the Finals of the Tigran Petrosian Chess School, Vahan Tovmasyan became U12 bronze medalist, and in the girls’ group Gabriela Baloyan became gold medalist, Lilit Hakobyan became bronze medalist.
  • 2025 – At the Armenian Boys and Girls Championship, Artur Bazikyan became U12 Boys Runner-up.
  • 2026 – At the 16th Andranik Margaryan Youth Memorial, Tigran Grigoryan became U8 Boys bronze medalist, Lilit Hakobyan became U12 Girls bronze medalist, Gor Dabaghyan became U14 Boys Champion, Gevorg Aghoyan became bronze medalist.
