The 16th Andranik Margaryan Memorial, held with Grandmaster and International Master norms, has come to an end.

After nine intense and surprise-filled rounds, the winners of the tournament were determined.

In the Grandmaster norm tournament, IM Aaryan Varshney claimed first place with 7 points out of 9, also completed his third and final Grandmaster norm during the event.

Second place went to GM Alexey Goganov with 5.5 points, while GM Egor Lashkin finished third with 5 points.

In the International Master norm tournament, the players finishing in 1st to 3rd places all scored an equal 6 points.

Based on tie-break criteria, the prize places were distributed as follows:

1st place: FM Erik Chaqryan

2nd place: FM Edgar Hayrapetyan, who claimed his second IM norm in the tournament

3rd place: IM Stefan Poghosyan
